Mapping the Russian aggression against Ukraine: Damage to cultural heritage and environment

Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has resulted in a multitude of war crimes, including the deliberate destruction of Ukrainian identity through sites of Ukrainian culture, history and memory, and the destruction of the environment, with disastrous consequences for the livelihood-environment nexus. As of 23 January 2023, UNESCO has verified damage to 236 cultural sites in Ukraine since 24 February 2022– 105 religious sites, 18 museums, 83 buildings of historical and/or artistic interest, 19 monuments, 11 libraries. About 200,000 square kilometres in Ukraine are left contaminated with UXOs and mines which prevents local farmers to access their lands and restore the agriculture cyrcle. This has devastating consequences for a country whose main export is agricultural products. The monitoring will be a case study geographically defined by the boundaries of the Kharkiv region, where Team4Ukraine has been operating since 2014 in cooperation with its long-term partner organization: the Maidan Monitoring Information Center. The results of the detailed mapping will help in the process of preparing for Ukraine’s post-war recovery and reconstruction and will fill the lack of coverage of these two important topics in war crimes research in Ukraine.

V naší pomoci nepolevujeme, ač se jedná o materiál pro zdravotníky, polní nemocnice, nebo třeba příslučníky ozbrojených sil ukrajiny …… Ale chtěli jsme dát dětem trochu radosti a vykouzlit úsměv na tváři ……

Spustily jsme Operaci Ježíšek, kdy pro 54 sirotků z dětského domova ve Vinici povezeme oblečení, které nám jejich „tety“ specifikovaly a také jim povezeme nějaké hračky, které jim tety připraví jako dárek k vánocům …… Mezi potřebné věci potřily teplé pyžámka, overaly, botičky a tak, na cvrčky od 80 cm do 140 cm …….

V operaci Stázička ( pojmenované po babičce jednoho našeho člena, která se v Terebnu – dnešní Luck narodila do rodiny Volinských čechů ) povezeme dárky pro necelých 400 sirotků o které se pomáhají starat nadace Ruslana Telipskýho.
