Since February 2022, Team 4 Ukraine has supported and assisted many units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZSU) and the Ukrainian Police. Last year, we were approached by members of the ACR, who participate in the training of Ukrainian soldiers as part of the EUMAM - Ukraine mission on the territory of the Czech Republic. The request was clear and simple: help provide CLS / medical backpacks for the medics of the unit that is currently undergoing training in the Czech Republic. Thanks to our long-term assistance to the UA side, the knowledge of our CLS / medical professionals and financial donations, we were able to select 15 fully equipped medical backpacks and medical waist packs along with other material within five days. During the UA training, our members handed over these to the medics of the newly formed battalion.
And they weren't the only CLS / medical packs we supplied last year. Thanks to the collections on Donio, they went to members of the 41st separate mech. brigades fighting near Kupjansk, to the marines from the 503rd separate battalion of marines, who are fighting on the bridgehead with the great flow of the Dnieper behind them, as well as other units of the ZSU.
Who do we help?
We will help equip the medics of the newly formed unit before its first deployment. This is a ZSU unit trained in the Czech Republic, where our military medics will help its medics with setting up and using backpacks. Furthermore, we would like to help the newly formed combat battalion of the Ukrainian Police, which will begin to form in a few weeks. And they will also be taught first aid in combat by Czech paramedics, members of Team 4 Ukraine z.s.
What exactly will the money from this collection be used for?
Funds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase basic CLS (Combat life saver) backpacks with equipment. In a basic setup, this backpack is in the 9-11k range. We want to buy from 10 to 30 of these backpacks. We also plan to purchase medical backpacks, which have slightly different equipment, but mainly contain more material. The price of such a medical backpack ranges from 15 to 25 thousand CZK. We plan to purchase from 4 to 16 of these backpacks.
If we manage to raise more funds, we will use the remaining funds to buy additional medical equipment such as tourniquets, combat bandages, chest valves and many other materials. There is a lot of it flowing into Ukraine, but the number of injuries is enormous, and the consumption of medical supplies is also enormous.
