Since 2014, Team 4 Ukraine (T4U) has been helping some units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to obtain the appropriate equipment they needed to defend positions on the eastern front with separatist regions controlled from the Russian Federation. In addition to the army, relations with the patrol police in the Uzhgorod region, for example, were also called into question, which had a positive effect towards security in the EU.

Since February 2022, when the Russian Federation launched an aggressive full-scale invasion of Ukraine, with the aim of occupying the country, establishing a puppet occupation government and gradually destroying the Ukrainian state as such, T4U has been heavily involved in assisting the Ukrainian Defence Forces. In the first days since the invasion began, this was mainly delivering ballistic vests, helmets, medical kits and drones to the immediate vicinity of the fighting, as neither the army nor the newly mobilized citizens had the equipment. Over time, as the front line moved, the places where T4U members delivered material aid to Ukrainian troops changed along with it.

From the beginning, we have always based ourselves on the fact that, thanks to the contacts we have in Ukraine, we bring material aid in a targeted manner according to the needs of specific units and as quickly as possible to wherever it is needed (regardless of the distance from the front line 0, or the frequency of shelling in the area). The rule of thumb, "He who gives quickly, gives twice," really applies here. From the original vests, helmets, first aid kits, and basic equipment for individuals, we have gradually moved through ambulances, Army Humvees, thermal imaging and other specialty equipment to specific systems that have a major impact on the capabilities of the units we assist.

In addition to our own support to specific units of Ukrainian defenders, we also draw on our experience and knowledge of functional tactics, equipment, and technologies, which we analyze and develop in cooperation with certain Czech Republic institutions to improve our own defenses.

Despite all the efforts made, the dangers endured, the days and nights spent in preparation for sorties or on the road, we are just those who help the heroes of Ukraine to lead their fight. Many of those we have helped since the beginning of the invasion are no longer alive, but on the contrary, many are alive thanks to the equipment and assistance we brought them. Such help could not have been gathered or transported without the overwhelming public support our team receives, for which we are all very grateful! Everyone who has helped just a little, sent any material or financial contribution, can quite rightly say they have played a part in saving many lives. Once, in a trench near one of the front lines, a Ukrainian soldier told us the following when asked about his will to continue fighting:

"We will persevere, we will continue to fight for our freedom if you continue to support us."

We certainly won't give up either, and what about you?
