How do we help?
We decided to create a call for the purchase of Bozena 5 demining equipment, because the war in Ukraine threatens the people of Ukraine not only in the fighting area, but also in the already liberated territories. In Ukraine, due to Russian aggression, landmines left behind by the Russian army are a big problem. Over 250,000 km² are mined, which represents approximately 40% of the area of Ukraine. Areas damaged in this way not only cause material damage, but also endanger the lives of local residents," says Dodo Dobrík, one of the initiators of the Slovakian collection Gift for Putin. Dobrík is also a co-founder of the project Gift for Putin in the Czech Republic. But not only that. To increase the chances of survival of their wounded colleagues, the brigade medics will also need ambulances to transport the wounded to field hospitals, as well as enough medical equipment, including inflatable tents and equipment for a small operating room.
After the successful completion of the challenge, Team4Ukraine will ensure the delivery of Bozena to the fire brigade in the Kherson region, which will be in charge of the disposal of mines.
And what is the current status of the project?
The target amount of EUR 650,000 has been collected, a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed and an equally big thanks to all collaborating organizations. Bozena is in production! But we are not wasting time, and we have purchased a set of tractor and trailer, which will transport Bozena both to Ukraine, and then within Ukraine to individual places where pyrotechnic cleaning is needed.
